About This Image

On a cold, early morning visit to Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone, the fog off the springs was so heavy that the colors were hard to see. I did find some hoarfrost along the boardwalk, including this thoroughly frozen spider web. (BTW, at 7 AM there were 4 other cars in the parking lot.)

Feedback Requested

I’m happy with this view, as it shows how heavy the frost was, a decent amount of the web including the center, and some the hoar spikes. I presume that Ms spider had dropped to the ground for safety.

Incredible!! Something I’ve never even thought about (but then I live in a warmer climate). Excellent focus and detail throughout. No thoughts for any possible improvement – just amazed enjoyment!

Mark, this is amazing. It shows how tough the spider web is though to hold all of the weight without sagging or breaking. Excellent in every way.

Mark: What an incredible find and good on you for being able to take advantage of a unique opportunity. And you did it with a single capture :winking_face_with_tongue:. Luck combined with outstanding talent and ability → great results and experiences. Most excellent. >=))>

Mark, I’ve never seen a web like this - maybe one day up north. You must have had fun choosing the most attractive crop here. I particularly like her money bag in the LLC - maybe she enjoyed an ice cream later in the day (if as you suggest she was still around). Next time wait there to check it out .

This is so cool!!! What a great find  And the execution is great, too. I can’t think of anything to improve on this
