Frozen Nature - Tree branch

Image(s)

Image Description

It rarely snows in our area of North Carolina so I was glad to get this photo of ice that had formed on a tree.

I wonder if the blue sky is too blue? I didn’t change it thinking it was a good contrast for the icy branches.

Tom, freezing rain makes for some great photos. This one looks good and the sky, while somewhat dark looks natural. If your system/lens allows, getting a closer look at a more isolated branch would work well (for example; that branch pointing down with the berry and the two spikes). When I get similar conditions, I’ll spend more time finding “a good shot” than taking it… :grinning:

Thank you, Mark. Happy to hear about the blue background, and yes, taking more time would have been expedient. After I saw the image on my computer screen I realized the red berry could have been a focal point… next time!
