Gentle light

Standing in water is usually my favorite place from which to photograph, in this case the sunlight refracting off the gentle ripples onto the sandy bottom. I converted it to B&W to de-emphasize the color of the sand.

John, black & white does a fine job of emphasizing the ripple pattern here.

I like the monochrome as well and might not have thought of it myself. Have you considered a square crop at the top? Could be interesting as well.
