Light in the water

I enjoy seeing the abstractions of life, typically little things framed by the lens in ways that take them out of our normal perceptions of reality and leave them dangling in the imagination. On water this is easy! These reflections of a beam of bright light on the surface of a stream with flecks of blue sky were a delight to watch and photograph with a slow shutter speed (1/25). Not a typical tourist postcard but one that has been quite popular regardless.

I really love these types of abstract pictures that look like paintings. I think this is a great postcard for art museum stores… the little specks of blue make the curves pop and add to the depth of the picture. Nice.

A really cool catch here John and you were in the right place at the right time with a camera. At first glance I thought it was a photo of microscopic organisms like amoeba. Fun to explore all the interesting shapes.
