There is nothing subtle about a Snowy Egret’s territorial disputes, witch is why it is so much fun to photograph them. This Snowy chased two different Egrets around a small pond in Hammonasset Beach State Park, Ct. The shot was taken on June 26, at 8:24 AM.

Pertinent technical details or techniques:

Canon 7DII, Sigma 150-600mm, 335mm, F8, 1/2500, ISO 640. I reduced the highlights by -30 and cropped the shot by 40% in DxO Photo Lab.

A very nice capture of these egrets, Peter! I like the aggressive display by the rear bird. The reflections are a nice bonus. I also appreciate the good control of the exposure, resulting in nice detail in the bright white feathers (especially in the large version.)

Very good, Peter. Great interaction and depth of field to get them both in good focus. The display of the rear bird is really cool.
