Ghostly Grand

I was in Phoenix for a medical conference in the fall of 2012 and took a side trip for a few days to the Grand Canyon. There was a prescribed burn on the North Rim which spilled smoke into the canyon and produced this scene in the full moon light. I left the meteor trail just because I thought it was a neat but small element and complement to the scene. It was kind of eerie being out on the rim with absolutely no one else around. What a fascinating photo Bill, considering the conditions. I love the blue sky against the red canyon. The smoke almost looks “fog” like and add a mysterious effect. Truly nice capture.
