Blackberry canes seem to be a common perch in my area. Wonder how they avoid those thorns.

The subject is nice and sharp and I enjoy the coordinated colors of the comp. Head turn is ideal and shows off the gold crown patch nicely. Hopefully, you will get more shots of this sparrow as they rarely stay out in the open as this one did. Well done…Jim

Very nice, with a good DOF to keep the tail sharp enough. I love the perch but wonder if there is just a bit more canvas at the bottom?

Great catch of this sparrow Allen with nice even light. Fine details and a great head turn. Love how we can see the full backside and a bit of the gold on the crown. Agree with a bit more space on bottom to accentuate the curve of the perch. Fine background too.

A nice over the shoulder look from this sparrow, Allen, and the back is definitely more interesting than the front on this species. Your usual excellent image quality.
