Egret seen at one of the Louisiana rookeries in late April.
I liked the framing of this egret as it stood out amongst the busyness of the rookery. Any comments appreciated. Non-cropped photo.

I’ll say that’s great framing. Wow. Like it was created to hold just such a bird. These guys and herons always look so silly when they’re in trees. The white plumage looks nice and I like the wispy feathers on the back. Your positioning of the bird off to that side works really well. Nice job.

Yup. The framing makes this image, Allen. All that green with the white bird and the dark anti-highlight right where it does the most good really makes for a fine image.

Did you put the Egret there yourself? It looks perfect sitting in that spot! The hole in the foliage provides it with the ideal naturally dark BG!
