Description:

Saw this Green Heron yesterday at my neighborhood lake. The boat dock is at the end of a fairly narrow cove so I can sit and wait for them to fly by.

Oh what lovely light and a perfect frozen moment. It stands out so well against the dark, smooth greenery. Maybe just a tiny more room around it? Hm…not sure. Terrific capture. I think I scared a couple of these while kayaking last week…they were in some thick vegetation, but I suspect it was a couple of greenies.

This is a nice look at the heron. The BG is nice and dark and the heron pops out of the frame. Well done…Jim
