The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I was thrilled when this Green Heron decided to come closer to the shore to do some more fishing. Usually, I find that they are skittish and so a long lens is necessary to get any kind of a decent shot of them.
Specific Feedback
Have I calmed the bright area of the water enough? Composition good, or should I crop some more off the right side? This is almost full frame.
Technical Details
Canon R5, Sigma 150-600 mm lens at 484 mm, HH. 1/3200 (had it that fast to catch the faster movements as he fished), f6.3, ISO auto (1600). Edited lightly in LR.

Shirley, what a great catch! You’re right that these guys are very skittish and shy, and hard to get.
I love this back pose, showing off the feather patterns and reddish neck, the bright eye, and the fish and it’s eye. The bark on the perch, bit of reed, and what looks like an old rope, add a lot of interest.
The water still seems a little bright to me, and might be toned down a bit more. You might consider a bit off the right.
Sweet image!
You caught a good pose and the detail and coloring show off the heron well. And a fish to boot! I like the perch as well. I could see a crop taking a bit off the top and right.
Very good, Shirley. I like the head turn and the fish in the beak. I think you did a fine job on the water and this crop works for me. While you could crop it tighter for a different feel, I like it as presented.
