Description

I went here planning to silhouette the lifeguard chair against the sunset afterglow, but this gull cooperated and posed for almost 10 minutes while I tried different compositions. Unfortunately it left before the color peaked.

Technical Details

Canon 5DSR 100mm f11 1/8 sec @ iso 400, on a tripod.
A slight curve to brighten the sky colors, minimal sharpening and a tight crop.

Wow, Glenn, nice light and color in this. I like the seagull and the lifeguard shack silhouette. I think that looks like belt of Venus lighting with the pink horizon band.
