Gull Gallery

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Early Thanksgiving morning on the Willamette River near the St. John’s Bridge. I came to photograph the bridge at sunrise and afterward walked down by the river and happened upon this scene.

Specific Feedback

Any feedback is welcome. I’m not sure I’m happy with the photo/edits of the background fog, especially in the middle portion.

Technical Details

Chris: Well seen! Simple but to me really interesting to see the birds on the tops of the poles and the reflections of the ones on the water. Made me curious to see what this was all about and a delight to view. >=))>

Those seagulls really posed for you. What don’t you like about the fog in the middle? I don’t see any obvious issues.

Well seen and well executed. A very nice, simple, soft and almost monochrome image. The gulls are great.
The fog is right for me, I don’t see any issues.

Chris, this is a very pleasant scene, that I’m enjoying at least partly because I it makes me want to holler GOAL!!! and raise my arms. The gulls, of course, make the scene.
