This flower was falling away from a bunch of them, one afternoon in late autumn, when the flowers were just past their best.

This is a great red/green combo, Ian. The main colors also let the yellow stamen stand out nicely. The details in the flower look great.

Great shot for the weekly challenge. I like your choice of dof. Most of the flower that’s important is sharp and the BG probably would have been more “blotchy” with a smaller aperture.:vulcan_salute:
