Helping Hand

We had our first big snowfall in VA this past week. I was able to get out for a few minutes at the end of the day. I loved the light coming thru the pine branches.

This has nice soft light. I like the soft green background which is not distracting. It’s nice and simple. Your title makes me smile because I could see it immediately but wouldn’t have thought of it on my own. It’s like it’s holding the snow out for you to take.

Lori, the details in the snow are striking. Since you were using a Lensbaby, I assume the limited depth-of-field was deliberate although I wish for more. I do think that lowering the snow in the frame would be good. If there’s a problem lurking just out of the frame, a modest crop from below and the right will work.

Thanks Mark - actually I could not reach the branches  There were not any lower ones holding the snow like that one, so I took what I could get. Thanks for your comment.
