Crows are great scavengers and always on the lookout for human food. On golf courses they’ve learned food is often inside a cart and will enter them when the golfer is away. No idea where the muffin came from.
Specific Feedback Requested: Any; just thought this was somewhat of an amusing photo.
Thanks for commenting, Terry. Yes, for birds I always use auto ISO. Why not? I shoot in manual, setting the speed and aperture (neither of which can be corrected in post processing) and let the ISO do as it will . For landscapes or stills, I’ll set the ISO to 100 (if possible) and adjust the others as the scene requires. Sorry about the long reply, but I have issues with the concept of “full” manual. I also have one of the back buttons specifically set for birds in flight with a fast shutter speed and auto-tracking. Also, on the Canon lens I have there’s a ring on the lens that allows for rapid exposure compensation.
Gotcha. I, too have been shooting in auto ISO. I think I have the same lens as you, the RF 100-500mm , but I haven’t activated the control ring as yet. I’m still slowly working my way through everything this camera and lens will do, focusing (no pun intended) mostly on the autofocus and eye detection functions, so far.
