Hi there. Are you my breakfast?

Taken at the Port Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington. This is one of a pair of female Sumatran tigers born at the zoo some time ago. They also have a male and the three rotate through different habitats along with other critters from the same general area. The male was in an area with no fences or glass to shoot through and I’ll post an image of him later.

Any pertinent technical details:

5DIII, EF70-200 f/4L @ 127 mm, hand held, f/6.3, 1/640, iso 1600, manual exposure. Processed in LR & PS CC. Straightened and cropped to 4849x3285. Curves and local adjustments to the tiger’s face… Background desaturated a trifle as the grass was incredibly green.

Dennis, he does look like he is sizing you up for dinner. The stare and the tongue out says it all. You did a real nice job shooting through the fence.
