Description

On October 24, I followed this Grebe around one of Pembroke Pines Fl., many wetlands for around 20 minutes, until it popped into this hole in the reeds.

Canon R5, Canon 100-500mm & 1.4ext, f10, 700mm, 1/1600, -.3EV, ISO800. Cropped by 60% with , added control points to lower the shadows behind the Grebe and bring up some dark spots. DXO PhotoLab 8

Cute first image, Peter. I don’t think I’ve seen a head-on shot of this species. It’s a whole different look.

HI Peter, nice catch of this scene with the bird being framed with the reeds. Interesting to see the habitat like this. I wish the reflection had not been cut off but this is still a fine capture.
