Image Description

She has reserves in the larder, and a strong web to secure fresh sustenance. Plus she still has balance, if only with half her legs. In October, her main enemy is the low temperature, which kills off potential prey. But she battles on through the freeze, finally succumbing to starvation.

I thought this rotation was the best, but I’m still not sure.

Mike, WOW! Only 4 legs and still going. You’ve positioned her well in the frame, including some food. She has very striking colors. Quite the find.

Thank you for the EP!

How did I miss this??? Such a poignant image and because of my intense love of spiders, makes me feel for her in a way that most people reserve for bunnies and duckies. What struggle and resilience. I hope she found a mate and her spiderlings are out there carrying it on. Really nice look at her markings underneath. Some spiders are so intricately patterned. Excellent.
