How to add @Name to thank people who commented on a post

I’ve tried for fifteen minutes to find instructions for adding the names of people who respond to one of my posts in the format @Name, but can’t. Could someone explain how to do that, and if there are instructions on the site, tell me where they are? Thanks.

Hit the @ key in a reply and you will get a pop-up with the names of people who posted (or you can search from there). Click on whoever you want and it will be added to your reply. You can start typing a first name after entering the @ and that will be the lookup.
