I need some quiet time.

I enjoyed photographing this Great Blue Heron at Rocky Neck State Park, through out Aug. & Sept. I would find the Blue in this tall grass and I have posted a few photos of this Great Blue Heron over the past month. In this shot there are about 10 Egrets hunting and cleaning up just out of the frame.

Technical Details

Is this a composite: No
Canon R5, Sigma 150-600mm, f9, 840mm, ISO 2500. The shot is cropped by 50% and I adjusted the highlight, vibrancy and toned down the grass in DXO Photo Lab4.

Nice looking Heron in its environment, Peter. He/she looks restful and enjoying the warm light…

I like the setting and the pose. Excellent contrast between the bird and its environment.

Thank you for the comments. What brought me to the conclusion this Heron was not a happy camper, was its’ feather are puffed up and the intense eye contact on the Egrets around the blue.
