Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

One of the several mammals and birds found only in Spain.
POURING rain, and from a very long distance. The clarity surprised me.

Specific Feedback

Is the bright BG still too bright? I already toned it down a lot

Great capture Sandy. However, the rain is not really evident until you zoom to full size. I find the bright background to be a bit distracting, as there is a lot of it. If it were my image I might consider cropping it (right-hand side to the rocks-eliminating the grasses; left-hand side and top to bring the border closer to the horns. This would eliminate the expanse of background and might make the rain more visible. Well done!

Beautiful frame, sometimes BG is more attractive than the subject.
Although I’m not a fan of square comp. but it may be more effectice in that.
