Not really sure where to post this since it’s rather unconventional. Shot with a circular fisheye with an infrared converted camera. Although the colors look somewhat natural with the blue sky, to get that result in infrared I used the channel mixer in PS and swapped the values of the red and blue channels. Best viewed here in dark mode.

Trippy! The infrared colors definitely add to the surreal air. Something that catches my eye is the darkest tree trunk, with is quite darker than everything else in the frame. Perhaps dodging the lower part of it a bit to bring its luminosity closer to the rest of the trees wouldn’t draw the eye out of frame there. Or perhaps burning down the larger trunk on the opposite side of the frame, to give it more balance. Very cool, though.
Hey Steve,
Posting here works just fine. Although I don’t have a personal interest in fish-eye lenses, I can certainly love and appreciate what folks do with them! This is no exception - quite the cool image. I wouldn’t have thought IR at first, but of course now the foliage kind of clues me in.
Good call on replacing the sky color - this came out very nice. What I like is exploring the “ground details” and especially the lighted area directly at the bottom, about 6:30…
The main tree and it’s canopy isn’t a huge story, but I like that all the elements are well blended together. This works for me!

I really like this very much. It’s like our natural world transposed on our planet. It’s a beautiful statement from that point of view.
