1 - What do you think of my grouping - Intimate Wild ?

2 - anything pertinent, including crop, exposure etc

Technical Details

Standard - paying attention exposing the bird correctly - a challenge with the whites and blacks

I like your choice of a name for this kind of images, Karl. It’s quite appropriate. This is a beautiful image and it looks like you found a very well groomed subject for it. Very well done.

Karl, you have very fine detail here, and the colours are excellent.
My only suggestion would be to remove the highlights on the right side and top of the cere.
Great portrait!

Karl, that is close up of this beautiful bird. Wonderful details. Well done.

Thanks @Dennis_Plank , @SandyR-B and @Shirley_Freeman

I certainly agree with Sandy on those highlights - working on those - trying not to clone/ AI

Karl: Beautiful bird and a marvelous portrait. I especially like the look of the eye. On an administrative note, I notice that you are posting a lot of full size images. It’s not a requirement but site suggested guidelines are to post images 2000 pixels on the long side. When you post a full size image it gets downsized by the site and you may lose some detail plus you make the image a more inviting target for image thieves. Considering the excellent quality of your work that might be a concern.

Beautiful portrait and taming down some of the highlights would achieve perfection. Beautiful bird that deserves a close-up…Jim

Thank you Bill

My images are 1500 x 1050 , 800 KB limit - have u tried to download any image and confirm that I am doing something wrong ?

I reposted a " Elusive Grey Ghost - n2000 x 2000 ( limit 1500KB ) as suggested by Diane Miller - could you please check that repost for me ?

Thanks

Thanks @Jim_Zablotny

The reworked highlights works better - the challenge was not to use AI - did just fine without!

Karl: Here’s a screenshot of this image when I opened it in PS

There are different ways to resize images. My processing is a combination of LRC and PS. I do most of my global adjustments on the full size image in LRC and then edit in PS. I never figured out how to export directly from LRC and may be too old a dog to learn new tricks. It’s my understanding that the site will resize the files to <3 MB but leave the dimensions unchanged. I use the Save For Web feature in PS to stay under the 3 MB limit. With regard to your other post it does look good. You can see the size of the image when you pass your cursor over the image.

Thanks again @Bill_Fach - I dont know what happened - I have to go back and export another image 2000x2000 / 1.5MB restriction and then open it in PS the way you did
