I like your choice of a name for this kind of images, Karl. It’s quite appropriate. This is a beautiful image and it looks like you found a very well groomed subject for it. Very well done.
Karl, you have very fine detail here, and the colours are excellent.
My only suggestion would be to remove the highlights on the right side and top of the cere.
Great portrait!
Karl: Beautiful bird and a marvelous portrait. I especially like the look of the eye. On an administrative note, I notice that you are posting a lot of full size images. It’s not a requirement but site suggested guidelines are to post images 2000 pixels on the long side. When you post a full size image it gets downsized by the site and you may lose some detail plus you make the image a more inviting target for image thieves. Considering the excellent quality of your work that might be a concern.
There are different ways to resize images. My processing is a combination of LRC and PS. I do most of my global adjustments on the full size image in LRC and then edit in PS. I never figured out how to export directly from LRC and may be too old a dog to learn new tricks. It’s my understanding that the site will resize the files to <3 MB but leave the dimensions unchanged. I use the Save For Web feature in PS to stay under the 3 MB limit. With regard to your other post it does look good. You can see the size of the image when you pass your cursor over the image.
Thanks again @Bill_Fach - I dont know what happened - I have to go back and export another image 2000x2000 / 1.5MB restriction and then open it in PS the way you did
