Joy in Paradise

During the height of the pandemic when everyone was locked down, I was getting depressed about all the photography workshops I was planning on going to being canceled. Finally I decided to go out in my backyard and fool around with shooting these Bird of Paradise blossoms. I tried some ICM which gave me some beautiful results, but I also love this shot. The side and backlight of the late afternoon were perfect.

Hi Bill thanks for posting. I do like the shot nicely vibrant and striking. The only issue I have is the background. The squares and lines in the full size image do compete with the flower itself. I would, in this case, have a natural black background or use a black card so as not to compete with the flower. Hope this is of some help?

Thanks for that suggestions, Robert. I will see if I can adjust the background in post.

Great! Thanks for coming back?
