What a fun image! Joy, indeed! I think you did a great job stopping the action. Nicely blurred background and good color. the only thing that bothers me is having her arm cut off.

Kathy, I’ve moved this to Non-nature. It’s joyful shot and very sharp, but it’s totally about humans, which is in violation of the NPN (and WC) guidelines. WC does accept non-nature images, but only when the topic description explicitly indicates that they fit.

Thanks Chris. I go back and forth on the subject of the arm. I had some with her whole body but the expression just wasn’t as good. Im convinced kids are harder than birds to photograph.

Hi Jim. She generally has a blast all the time. I was photographing her with my iPhone and she asked me to get the “big picture camera” out. So I did. A little trepidation on using the camera as I was and am still recovering from a knee replacement, but the knee behaved, although I could not move nearly as fast as I wanted to!
