Dave, this is a nicely inviting scene. I like the zig-zag of the water with the land fading into the distance. It looks like the sun must have been very close to peaking through the bright area in the upper left.
As Mark said, the composition is well seen. I also like the almost monochromatic nature of the scene. Wonder how it would be in B&W?
I like how the island offscreen leads you to the background details. A very restful scene. The lighting on the water is nicely diffused. It seems like the break in the crowds might be blown out.

I’d like to echo the comments above about the s-curve. I feel like it leads your eye right to the bright spot on the water.
The right-hand shore feels just a little dark and a little flat to me, especially compared to the left. I’m new to the forums but I’ve seen some other people bring images into Lightroom, so I thought I would try it (I hope that’s OK!) The only change I made was to add a graduated linear filter up from the bottom, increasing nothing but shadows. I feel like it brings out the warm greens on the right-hand shore, mirroring the shore on the left. This might not be to your taste, of course.
