My wife found this blue jay feather on one of our walks and I decided to use it in some staged images. There was just the slightest zephyr of a breeze that made keeping the feather where I wanted it a real challenge. The center of the gerber wasn’t quite tack sharp so I cheated and added a little oil paint filter to mask it. I intentionally clipped the end of the feather since I didn’t want to have too much green on the right side. Should I have clipped more to get rid of all the green in the RLC? I think you’re good with that amount of green, Bill. Some amazing primary colors here. I keep thinking of doing feathers, but it never occurred to me to juxtapose them with flowers-it gives me some ideas to build on.

A very cool composition.

Great idea, and nice presentation, Bill. I too never thought of adding a feather to a flower, very creative.

Well balanced and good detail, Bill. You may have started something!:scream_cat:
