Bill, excellent focus with that super lens. You could add a little space on the left using Edit-Fill-Content Aware in PS; the “feet” on the right are more problematical. But it’s a very striking macro showing the ladybird at its best.
Bill, this beetle sure does dominate this view, and that’s great. I do see one stacking “artifact”. The antenna has a shadow slightly above. Clearly that antenna moved during your stack. You may be able to go back into your stack and fix that, assuming that your stacking software allows cloning from individual slices to the final result. You don’t say how many shots are in the stack, although at this magnification I’m guessing a lot. It would be “fun” to what’s riding on the top, but that would take quite a few more shots.
Thank you Mike. I only used 9 shots on the in-camera focus stacking feature of the OM1 - Good feedback on the framing and I’ll keep experimenting with more shots in the stack. Thanks, Bill
Bill: A face only a mother might love but really good detail where it matters. Giving it more room all around would suit me a bit better. Nice job getting this close to a small subject with a 90mm lens. >=))>
