I love the wing position and the tree in this one, Peter. The whites on the top of the head seem a little bright, but that can be al=n illusion since it’s such a glancing angle. When I shoot eagles, I go to manual exposure and find something white in the are with sun on it to set my exposure just below blowing it out. As long as the eagles stay it the sun, it works.

Thank you for the comment. At that time of morning the sun is almost head on with the eagle. I used a local brush to bring down the top of its head. You get around 10 second to take a shot, as the eagle pops out from inside the evergreen and banks off to hunt or gather more nesting material.
