Lichen abstract

While the colors are pretty dull, I was fascinated by the patterns and durability of the lichen on the mountains when we went to Nome last June. I took a few abstracts just for fun and this was one of them. I think some better side lighting would have helped. If I recall correctly, it was overcast when I took this. Once you looked down and saw all this growth, it was hard to step anywhere for fear of damaging them.

This is cool. A fascinating image to explore.

This is captivating. So much to look at and explore in this. There is a great 3D feeling to the image too.

Hi Dennis,
A wonderful abstract with a lot of nuances to investigate. Well seen and taken.

Dennis: There is a whole lot of, “What is this?” in this image. Hard to get the scale and the shapes and textures are really interesting. Well seen and captured.>=))>

I love nature’s abstracts. Great shot, full of detail. Well done.
