Lights and shades are all

The Orchid Phalaenopsis is my second favorite model after the Osteospermum. Taken back lit with plenty of light and post processed for pastel colors.

Beautiful image, Giuseppe. I love the high key, delicate presentation and the ethereal look of the white petals.

Gorgeous Gigi! This treatment suits this flower well!

Love the high key rendering, Gigi, and the composition is perfect. This image beautifully captures the feel of this lovely variety of orchid.

The choice of isolating the center so it shows the bird figure looking into its nest is a wonderful new take on the composition of the orchid. The soft, subtle flow of the petals gives just enough detail to set the mood without full disclosure of the bloom’s detail. Bravo!
