Living In The Walls

Image:

Description:

There were about a dozen of these Texas Collared Lizards hanging out on the wall of the covered event area at the Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park/World Birding Center. Apparently when people come near they head for the windows and the walls and the attic. I thought this one looked like it was enjoying the view from the front porch window.

Specific Feedback Requested:

Any comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Pertinent technical details or techniques:

Canon 5DMiii, f8, 1/2000 sec, iso 1250, 100-400/1.4 TC at 560 mm. Cropped to about 40% of original. Applied Topaz denoise and sharpen.

Glad to know that park is till in business. I was afraid it was a victim of the border wall. A very cool image of this lizard and I like the rather dilapidated appearance of the structure-somehow it seems to fit well there.

@Dennis_Plank sorry so late on my reply. Thank you for taking a look and for your comments. We do love the Rio Grande Valley during migration season.

Great view of this fellow, Ed. The old wood and muted BG add a lot of character.
Congrats on the EP!
