Our house is almost directly underneath the approach path to Bush International Airport. While admiring the full moon last month I noticed that the planes were getting close to the moon’s rising path so I got my camera and started shooting. In retrospect I should have bumped the ISO so I could get a faster SS but I’ll know better next time. Put some texture and oil paint to mask some of the motion blur. All comments welcome. >=))>

Cool concept!!! As you say, it would work a lot better with a faster shutter speed and a sharp airplane, but I like what you are doing with this idea.

Nice image. You could DL high rez images of the the moon and plane from the net and do it that way as well. What you can DL will have a higher IC than what you can produce, and offer unlimited positioning possibilities for composition.

Very cool, Bill. You nailed the position of the plane on this one. I like the oil paint effect on the lunar surface.
