I was tempted to take this to monochrome but color junkie that I am I liked the light green of the advancing wave on the right side. Your thoughts?

An interesting subject for an abstract, Bill. It works quite well. When I first opened the image, I thought it was monochrome, but then I noticed the hint of browns in the rocks followed by the bit of blue in the water. I think I’d have to see both to figure out which I’d like best. The B&W might make a more mysterious interpretation that would take longer to figure out.
This is an image that would be fun to spend a lot of time with trying various interpretations on a really ugly day when going outside isn’t fun. I can see using some of the abstraction filters in PS or just bringing texture way down so it’s more difficult to tell what the subject is.
Bill, I like the energy in this one. My first reaction to the color was that it was distracting but after a little more looking, I think it may add something the image needs.
Hi Bill, I too like the abstract nature of the ocean’s tempest. I would be tempted to convert it to bnw as I think this would bring out the textures and contrast. I can’t begin to imagine how windy and cold it must have been to capture this scene.
This is gorgeous, Bill. I like the green, though I wouldn’t mind seeing a monochrome for comparison. The green is so indicative of location, so that might be why I like it so much. I saw the thumbnail and thought Thor’s Well.
Perhaps increasing the saturation on the left side would create some balance? Just a thought. Lovely image regardless of how it evolves here.
