Hi Brian, nice overall scene with the bird looking at the flower and towards the open space in the image. Exposure on the bright yellow on the bird looks realistic to me. I am seeing some processing artifacts in different parts of the image especially to the left of the bird’s right leg. Did you try any replacement or similar processing on the image? Bird seems just a little soft.
The composition looks okay to me but I could see trying a different version cropping in from the right and eliminating the flower there. This would put the bird well right in the frame but I think there would still be enough room given the elements present on the left.

A very nice comp but needs a lot more DOF for the bird and Zinnias in the comp. I would try f8 to f11 which might give enough DOF for a stellar image…Jim
