Guy, this is the perfect image for an IR conversion. I love it. It conveys the strength and size of this tree. I like the way you have cropped it. We don’t need to see the whole tree to understand its size. The dark trunk is the perfect point of interest and the branches support the need for darker values. Very nice.

Thank you for your kind words Barbara!

Frame filling goodness, Guy. Looking at your website, you have a great “eye” for making successful IR images.

Thank you Michael! I so appreciate your kind words…

Guy,
This is a wonderful IR version of this stately maple tree and I think the way you laid out the four trees in this scene is perfect. I also like the fact that you didn’t try to capture all of the main tree as it is not needed to convey it’s character. Beautifully done!

Guy,

It’s not just a perfect subject for an IR image, it’s just an all-out perfect photo. Beautiful!

Thanks! These old sugar maples do have a certain dignity about them. Native to northeastern us and canada. Unfortunately they are loosing ground as the climate changes…
