The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Insect numbers have plummeted, so I took out my frustrations on several dahlia flowers. This variety is called Mardi Gras and is very vibrant. I like to get the first complete row of petals and then see what patterns occur in the remaining flower parts. The lengthened edges of the petals extending down into the RH corner is a fortuitous find.
Specific Feedback
How do you like this comp? I rarely do these single shot exposures as stacking is a useful tool for garden flower photography on still mornings or evenings.
Technical Details
Z9 105mm f2.8 Micro + 1.4x TC (1/100sec at f22, ISO 800, fill at -1.3ev) DeNoise, Levels, Camera Raw filter, slight crop from RH edge, Tweaked Highlights & Shadows.

Gorgeous indeed! That first cup of coffee hadn’t quite kicked in but this finished the wakeup call, in such a cool way. I wouldn’t have known it wasn’t a stack, the detail is as wonderful as the colors and I love the way you composed the cascade of petals toward the lower right. Masterful!
Jim: Other than the fact that I had to don to look at this I like it a lot. The comp works well for me especially since the flow is left to right. Really nice work and frame filling fantastic.>=))>
Thank you @Dennis_Plank , @Diane_Miller , @Bill_Fach , @John_Williams , and @John_Williams for your critiques. With very little rain for the end of August and September, native wildflowers are not photo-worthy so I have been concentrating on the dahlias in the garden. This particular variety grows like a weed and flowers prolifically…Jim
