I got this shot of a Mockingbird at wildlife refuge. We do not have them up where I live. I removed a twig or two, and a couple of twig shadows from the bird. I think it was worth the trouble. D500, Nikon 200-500 lens, Nikon 1.4 TC, hand held, 1/2000th, f 8.0, 700mm, ISO 2000, AI Clear
Really like the composition here. Good detail in the bird and nice glow in the eye. Great background and the foliage suits the frame well. Looks as if you had some nice light. Well done.
It WAS the last light of the day. Got lucky… out the car window.
I like the framing and detail in the Mockingbird, Dave. The side lighting really worked well. My only nit is that it looks as if there’s a cloning artifact about a quarter of the way down from the top between the two main stems (a slightly lighter patch). A very sweet image.
