Description

Our garden is really beginning to come alive. This is the first of our white roses to bloom and I had a lot of fun shooting it with the dappled light coming through the trees and giving me some natural spotlighting. Played around with DOF to render the bud a bit OOF but still clear enough to tell what it is and its relationship to the bloom. I thought the drooping petal was its way of showing a little modesty for its tiny delicate center parts. All comments welcome. >=))>

Excellent choice of depth of field, Bill. I love the lighting on this one.

Wow! Wonderful lighting perfect for the lovely subject, and a great title!! The DOF is just right! Frame and hang!

This has really nice light and shadows Bill. Simple elegance.
