Moon Bridge, Portland Japanese Garden

It’s been kinda quiet on the Non-Nature space so thought I’d drop this one in. Taken on Monday. I was looking for fog in the garden but it was a bit uncooperative. This shot of the moon bridge has been done so many times. This time, I went for a tighter frame and a focus stack.

Technical Details

Is this a composite: No
100mm, 1.2 sec @ f/11, ISO 400, Tripod, Polarizer.

22 images, processed and synched in Capture One, then taken into Helicon Focus for stacking, finally into Photoshop for conversion to B&W using the B&WStyler plugin.

Honestly, I’m not much of a b&w guy, but I like this a lot, David. It gives it a real contrasty (English majors the world over are cringing right now) look unachievable, I believe in color. Nice work.

Nice one. The classic path leading to… Real nice light on the back trees, too.

An impressive and artful bridge leading us into the open pathway in the distance, David. The overall exposure is very good for a deep forest canopy area… :sunglasses:
