Description

My husband collects aviation history books and he found this one recently at quite a bargain. I think it’s worth a premium for its appearance. I tried to bring out its character with a limited focus stack and indirect window lighting.

We love old books too, and have a few treasures as well.
Great look at this wonderful edition. The wrinkled cover and bent pages have such character - Your DOF and stacking is perfect for what you wanted to achieve. It would be neat to have the Title discernable if at all possible, but still with the gradient at the top.

A very cool old book and I like your treatment of it, Diane. The focus fall-off works for me.

Thanks, @SandyR-B and @Dennis_Plank! The title was barely readable, even looking at it, but I’ve added a full stack above, with slightly different lighting. It’s a maintenance and overhaul manual for a British engine built in the 1930’s.

Diane - The full stack is perfect, imo - congrats on a really nice and"different" EP!

Thanks, @SandyR-B, and thanks @Dennis_Plank for the EP! I told Ted this deserved a place in the book wall in the great room, and it is now resting at this angle on a shelf occupied by a few other old artifacts. It was completely unappreciated in his aviation library.
