I got this shot at the Columbia, CA Airshow and I threw an old vintage photo look to it in Topaz Studio. Does it work as a new “old” photo? D500, Nikon 18-200mm lens, hand held, 1/1000th, f 8.0, 90mm, ISO 560, AI Clear, cropped to 4402 x 2448

Dave, no doubt Jimmy Doolittle would be proud of this fine image of the old B-25. Nice job capturing the front wheel of the tricycle landing gear with some daylight under it. These of course were the aircraft used during the Doolittle raid on Japan that were all launched off an aircraft carrier back then… :+1:
Only thoughts for change might be to bring down the brightness of the image overall. But, just a thought for change there for another look…

Fine old War Bird. I like the sepia look, but agree with Paul about the brightness, especially the background.

I live less than a mile from the Columbia runway, and have seen this particular bird many times over the years for the annual Fathers Day Fly-In.

There is a Cal-Fire Air Attack Base there, too. There are two Turbo S-2’s (Air Tankers), A Huey (Heli-Tac), and an OV-10 (Air Attack Spotter). During fire season, they get pretty busy, and often fly right over my house on their base leg.

Great old plane and excellent job making the image fit the vintage. I would agree with @Preston_Birdwell and @Paul_Breitkreuz on the brightness. Very enjoyable viewing.

Part of my interest in playing with this old warbird shot was recently seeing Midway which had loads of nifty planes in it including these old B25s. Anyway, I darkened the highlights some here. I like it. Better?
