My 2024 Favorites

Just for fun, here’s a selection of my favorite photos from 2024. It was a very busy but productive year! Sorry I haven’t been engaged in the community lately, it’s been a lot of work behind the scenes not only running NPN, but leading workshops, personal issues, etc. I intend to get much more involved posting and giving critiques this year! I wish you all the best in 2025!

BTW, if you’re intersted in seeing more images and a write up of my year you can read more in this blog post:

Great collection of images David. That one of the Aurora with the great from Yellowstone is so good. You did have a pretty great year. Happy New Year!

Beautiful work David. All the shots are jaw dropping and inspirational. What is the subject of the 3rd image?

We will be in Denver from the 6th thru 24th. Tinka is getting spinal fusion surgery at Porter on the 8th. We will be staying in town until her two week checkup on the 23rd. Let me know if you’re in Denver and maybe we can meet for coffee.

Say hi to Jennifer.

Best,
Bill

Thanks Bill, that would be a tiny patch of salt sticks I found in Death Valley, that’s probably only 3 inches across but I was extremely close at 35mm, they were so cool!

We should be around, so keep in touch when you get here!

Thanks @Bonnie_Lampley and @Diane_Miller , I’ll do my best!

Thank you @Ted_Forman , that’s been a dream shot for a long time, we had to hike out there in the dark since the road was closed at the time, and the bison we thought were bears for a moment woke us up real quick!

David, the aurora over Great Fountain, with what’s probably Clepsydra erupting in the distance is great. I also really like the sunset colored mountain view with the green, red, slightly magenta transition from bottom to top. The wolves in the snowy mist is a classic YNP view that looks good as a pano.

I really enjoyed the blog post as well. Were the images in the blog post yours and Jennifer’s combined?

Thank again for all you do for NPN, and Happy New Year!

Thanks John! The images were all mine, Jennifer did her own similar blog post here:
