New website critique request -- Backroad Adventure Photography

Hi all,
After five years of playing around with ideas and developing many other sites as part of my day job, I finally decided it was time and dedicated a few weeks to putting together my own photography website. It is now in beta form at:

I have two priorities for this website:
*Showcase and (hopefully) at some point sell some of my work
*Serve as an example of my web development work for prospective clients

Purpose:
With my web development, I specialize in usability, WCAG accessibility, and privacy (GDPR etc.) compliance. Because this is a hybrid development site (using photodeck as the CMS) I am still evaluating whether I can and should use photodeck versus incorporating their gallery functionality into a development environment I have more control over (WordPress).

Review and critique:
I would appreciate any feedback on any aspect of the site:

  • First impressions
  • User friendliness
  • Aesthetics
  • Readability and accessibility
  • Time to load
  • Structure of front page versus galleries
  • Ease of finding information
  • Purchase process
  • Likelihood you would bookmark and / or make a return visit
  • Any other feedback

There are a limited number of images and galleries at this time, and I plan to add more once the design and functionality is finalized.
