Next spot at the lake

I was out at the lake today and about 15 Cormorants came in for a landing. It was interesting watching them all dive many times in the lake. Then they all started flying to another part of the lake and repeated the process a number of cycles before leaving the lake.

Specific Feedback and Self-Critique

I cropped to a 2:1 ratio which is a little different but I think the bird in the back adds to the story. Is it ok to be there?

Hello
I think the bird in the back adds to the story. Cormorants often move in pairs.

I like the pano crop and agree the bird in the water adds to the image. Nice takeoff pose with the water splash. Nice colors in the water. I wonder if some shadow detail could be brought up on the face of the cormorant in the water?

I like the composition here, Dean. It reminds me of Leap Frog. I could see bringing up the swimming cormorant a bit and maybe trying to see if you can get the eye to pop in the flying one, but otherwise, I like it.
