I am working my way back into the summer collection of photographs I have. This shot was taken on the Back River from the Zodiac, on Oct 12, at 8:07 AM. This is the first time I have seen Cormorants drying off and worming up this way.
Thank you for stopping by.

This is very cool, Peter. It takes quite a while to untangle the two and figure out that they’re not embracing (which was my first reaction). Great catch and optical illusion.
Very interesting shot. I see a lot of cormorants and have never seen anything like this. Good capture and fine detail in the birds. I like the warm tones of the background grasses.
Good job on the behavior and environment. As Dennis stated, good optical illusion.
Definitely a neat photo. It takes a bit of looking to sort it out. Nice composition and I second the nice warm bg colors.
