It looks as if the second one was feeding on bugs caught in the nearby spider web. I was concerned that going from a cropped sensor and 150-600 mm lens to a full frame and 100-500 mm lens would be an issue, but so far I’m very happy with the R5’s performance.

Pertinent technical details or techniques:
Canon R5; 100-500 at 500 mm; 1/1000 at f7.1: ISO 2500/6400. Topaz seemed to do a good job with NR.
Wonderful, with very nice light and environment on both!! Don’t hesitate to put a TC on that lens. Mine practically lives with the 2X on it. Along with the ability to crop to less than 20% of the original frame, I can finally get close enough to a few subjects.

It sure looks like you have plenty of detail in these, Allen. Both images are excellent. You might think about toning down the leaves a bit in the second image, particularly the ones in the lower right corner.

Both images are nice–saturation in the second can be toned down slightly. I think that you have adopted well to full frame digital technology. Well done…Jim
