Image Description

We were traveling from Etosha in Namibia to Botswana and needed a overnight stop. We were booked at this beautiful resort on top of a hill. Woke up next morning to see fog and these clouds cpvering the valley except for those peaks. Patience paid off. Soon enough this happened!

Gorgeous and wonderful!! I love that the sun is just slightly off-center, as is the horizontal mass distribution – it balances very well.

There is posterization in the sky from extreme JPEG compression, and the profile is ProPhoto, which will lead some browsers to display colors and tonalities incorrectly.

This is very nice. I’m not a big panorama guy, but this really works.

Thank you @Diane_Miller

On my monitor as well as projected at my camera club this came through well - exactly same file - I do understand where you are coming from though

Sometimes panos work just fine!

How fortunate that the sun rose right between the two ridges.

I have a zen like reaction to your image. This is one of those minimalist images that you could meditate on. It has that Japanese art quality to it.

The simplicity that captures the essential of the beauty caught by your eyes , this was my first thought looking at the image. I love the photo.

This is such a cool simple image Karl. I feel the soft tones and I like the panoramic treatment. Great find and timing.

This is a really cool image with the placement of the sun perfectly between the two peaks. I like this a lot!
