Questions to guide your feedback

Recently started using a Lensbaby Velvet 85mm coupled with a Canon R5 for some more creative work while in the field. Not certain if this image really works, perhaps the flowers are a bit separated in the scene. Looking for general feedback, composition and editing would be great and thank you in advance.

This is perfect for the Macro category. I like your dreamy Lensbaby look (and the frog’s dreamy look too!). So I don’t think sharpness is an issue here at all. I think you could crop out the close flowers on the right and also crop in a bit from the left to have a square. This would heighten the dreamy effect to my eye, as the sharper flowers on the right wake me up a bit! Great colors too.

Thank you for your comment Mike, much appreciate it.
