Pertinent Technical Details

Sony 7rIV with a 28-70 Tamron lens. ISO 400 at f2.8, 1/8000. This lens does a pretty good job of almost macro and then some post in Lightroom to crop in with a slight vignette.

Nicely done! I like how you chose not to focus stack this image, as the fall off gives greater emphasis to the rain drops on the flower petals and softens the rest of the image. I just might be tempted to remove the part of the stem that sticks up in the upper left corner, but that’s it.

Nicely done, Joey. I agree with @Ted_Forman regarding not using a focus stack. The color, and the detail in the flower work well. The bit of stem in the ULC doesn’t bother me.

This looks great, Joey. The drops stand out well and are set off by the streaks in the petals. The overall view feels like a yard light shining in the darkness, with the brightness of the petals adding to that sense of shining down. Removing the upper bit of stem would add to that sense of a light shining down, but it’s not a big deal.

Very nice! I would darken (subtly) the leaf in the UR corner – it is a bit of an eye magnet. The stem in the UL corner isn’t a problem for mebut could be subtly burned.

A side note – there is a limit of one post a day, although the reminder seems to have disappeared. No need to change your posts, just something to keep in mind in the future.

Sorry. Got over enthusiastic about the input.

This is lovely. Those droplets add so much and pea flowers in general are so photogenic. The uni-directional light makes all the texture pop right out. The dark edge behind the far right petal helps it stand out nicely. Excellent job.
